If you want it active, just wait for a new version of DMP. This list was quite active when version 4.00 was released. Version 4.01 should be out soon, since 4.00 has a few bugs in it. The 32-bit version doesn't work; the amplification switch (-a) was removed; DMP still doesn't play .XM files etc. etc. Guido ----------------- Date: Tue, 16 May 95 20:20 EET From: "Ondrej Stasek" Subject: [DMP-TALK:785] Re: I'm not getting any posts... > Well I got all the responses to my question just fine, I guess it's just kinda > dead right now. Yes. I think, there only isn't anything important to discus. Or does anyone know about something interesting ? The next version of Inertia Player is promised to do just that. I don't know about DMP. I thought this extra memory was meant for playing .MIDs, .CMFs and ROLs, and not for playing modules ? Yep, there is. But actually, only one of the settings works (don't remember which) and that one is still way too loud. Using SB16SET every time I use DMP isn't very handy. I mostly use DMP/32 because I don't use EMS. DMP runs fine with my settingd, so recheck you values. If worse came to worse, you could try setting your IRQ to 5 (default for my system), maybe that would work. P.S. I am recieving the posts. I think this memory eas meant only for playing midi files. CMF is played only through FM-synthesis. And for the ROL I've only FM-player. If you (or anyone else) have a ROL player for general midi or directly for AWE32, I'll be really happy if you agree to send me it. I think that the extra memory is good for storing samples in it and for making some effects with them. Isn't it good for a MOD player ? P.S.: I have found one on some FTP ( I think it's called AWEMOD ) and it sounds good. But it plays only 4-chn MOD and not all effects. ;( ___________________________ __ / () ..**.. ..**.. \___________ / * ___/: Ondar "Kotelnik" Stasek ( )====---- * * * * * \: XSTAO02@JMS.VSE.CZ (___________)====---- ** * * * * * \___________________________/ \__ * * * * ----------------- Date: Thu, 18 May 95 12:01 EET From: Kilian Hekhuis Subject: [DMP-TALK:796] Re: AWE32's extra memory support > > > And for example there is no support for AWE32. :) > > Sorry about bothering, but i like this card very much and there is no > > good player which takes advantage of its internal memory... > I thought this extra memory was meant for playing .MIDs, .CMFs and > ROLs, and not for playing modules ?
